Volunteer Opportunities
If you are considering a career in museums or are available to contribute your skills and energy to a worthwhile project, you may want to consider becoming a volunteer at the Buxton Museum and working with our dynamic team. We offer many opportunities in a variety of departments as well as training and benefits. If you are currently in high school, the Buxton Museum is a great place to complete your community service requirements.
A small sampling of activities you can participate in:
Assist with school groups or special youth event programs
Assist with operating the Gift Shop
Assist with preservation of artifacts and housekeeping on the museum grounds
Assist with office duties
For anyone with an interest in Canada's history or the Underground Railroad, there is no better place to volunteer — and no better time to start! We could not do it without great people like you, and we look forward to welcoming you to our team. Please contact our Curator, Michelle Robbins, for more information.
